Strengthening for the Future

This February we held our annual board meeting, a time when God allows staff and board members to gather, share, and reflect on the progress and needs of the ministry. This year was especially meaningful as we saw firsthand what God is doing in the lives of those Agua Viva serves and how He is bringing hope through the Gospel and education.

During the visit, we were reminded that the ministry’s impact is seen not only in programs, but in the lives of families. One mother came to the school several months ago discouraged, believing her financial situation would never allow her son to receive an education like the one offered at Agua Viva. Today, through the scholarship program, her son is part of the Agua Viva family and is receiving an education that is opening new opportunities for his future. Stories like this one are possible because of the faithful support and prayers of friends who share in this mission.

We also heard the story of another mother who recently came to the school office to share that her financial situation had improved. Because of this, she asked if her son’s scholarship could be given to another family in need. Moments like these remind us that beyond providing education, God is also cultivating hearts that desire to share the blessings they have received.

During the visit, board members also joined the teachers’ daily devotions with their students, witnessing how the Word of God is faithfully shared in the classrooms each day.

We were encouraged not only by the growth we witnessed, but also by the clarity God is giving about areas where the ministry can continue to grow and serve more effectively. While the communities we serve continue to make progress, the need to know and grow in the Gospel remains great. We are grateful for the opportunity to continue building on the programs Agua Viva has faithfully offered, seeking to serve our students and families with even greater care and intentionality in the years ahead.
